Operation Christmas Child

We support Samaritan's Purse with their Operation Christmas Child Program.  This past year our goal was to donate 100 boxes.  We met and exceeded that goal with 101! Baltimore Processing Center

This year we had the privilege of being invited to volunteer at the Baltimore Regional Processing Center through our friends at another church.  We boarded a Coach bus around noon for the trek all the way to Baltimore.  Our shift was the evening shift, 6:00-10:00pm, which closed out the night.  Then we boarded the Coach for the long journey home and arrived around 3:30am.  While we were there, we heard a speaker from Africa named Kojo.  He told his story of how he had received a box when he was twelve years old and how that box changed his life.  We hear stories all the time, but it made a huge impact to hear this story in person.   It was quite an experience and an exhausting night but we had a blast!  We all felt truly blessed and honored to be a part of that event.  The slide-show shows pictures from that trip.
